Technology

 Cooking (Technology):

Today I have to do a blog about all my technology classes. and my group and I first went to cooking class and learned how to cook recipes like curry, fruits and yogurt. Our teacher's name was Mrs Hamer and We were put into groups and every group had there own kitchen so everyone could cook. We got the chance to make a yogurt fruit jar which was Mrs Hamers traditional dessert in her culture. We first had to dice and slice all the fruits and put the fruits in making a rainbow design going upwards. After we were done doing that we put the yogurt in. Everyone rated the food and it was a 9/10. Everytime we came to our cooking class we would make different desserts. Our second meal we had to make was a curry and our third meal was a salad.

Science (Technology):

At science my group and I had completed all our work that we were given so we learned about plastic, bones and skeletons, pollution and earthworms. I am going to talk about what we did when we were learning about bones and skeletons. In science everyone had to be included so everyone got the opportunity to speak about what they know about bones and skeletons. When we finished talking our teacher Mrs yanny gave us real animal bones and a dead fish she found on the road to learn about and discover. When we were done we put them back in the box, boiled the fish and got the fish out to see its bones. We wrote and learned the fish bone names and drawed a front, side and under skeleton of the fish in our science books.

Hard Materials (Technology):

In my hard materials class there was a teacher named Mr Grundy. Although, his name is similar to grumpy he is actually very kind and helpful. We learned how to make a necklace out of pewter and we had a workbook that my group and I had to complete while creating our project. I learned how to use a saw machine and also learned that aluminum (metal) is very poisonous and dangerous for baby which is why we didn't use it. Mr Grundy helped me make the necklace for a very special person. I finished the workbook and I also finished my project so now I don't have to do any work.

Technology Bones and Skeletons.

In technology My group and I went to our class to do science. When we got there our science teacher miss Jannie gave us a piece of paper that writings on it. She gave it to us and told each student to read the sentences on the paper. We were told to do the things that were said on the paper and learn more about bones. When we were done going through all the sentences our teacher brings out the cooked fish head for us.When she put it in a silver container she put it on the red table and started shredding it apart to show all the bones in the fish head. She told us things about bones we didn't know. When she was done  we washed the bones of and counted them all. We had four squares in our book and had to draw the fish head on all angles. When we were done we glued in all our papers we were given and headed out the door.

Earthworm Words

Today me and my group Rachel,Moko and I made a  word slide
about earthworms. The slide had words with meanings and images
of earthworms. The slide didn't take long and we learned alot from
the meanings of the words. We learned  about a word named
reproduction earthworm which means that earthworms are
hermaphrodites meaning both genders. They need a mate
to reproduce .

Tecnology Science

At tech I learned about saving electricity. Our science teacher named Miss Jannie put us into groups of two and gave us a small tiny bulb and a battery with two wires. Miss Jannie told us to cut the two wires on both sides into 20 cm to connect the battery and the bulb together. When me and my partner was done we had to take a bit of the plastic  that was surrounding the wire on both sides because the plastic that was surrounding the wire can not transfer the electricity if the plastic is still surrounding the wire. After we were done we went to the table and started to figure out how to lit the light bulb. First we put the two wires into two holes that were in the platform of the bulb then we twisted the wire and put it around a springy thing that's used to put in pens. Then the bulb lit and we drawed out the circuit that we created with a battery, light bulb and wire in our science book.

Technology Science

Today at Technology was our first day after the lockdown of covid19 happened. Room 6 and 7 went on the bus like usual and sat in there seats. When we got to tamaki college for tech everyone went to there classes they were put in. In my group everyone had to go to science because we were group D. When we got of a lady named Miss Sharma was standing at the gate waiting for us. She lead us through a hallway outside on a concrete. When we were walking we could see classes filled with college students at their table.

When we made it to our class were we got introduced to our science teacher Miss Jannie. She already organized our tables on screen so she told us where to sit. We started to learn about earthworms and did notes in our science book about earthworms. We learned that earthworms Have no ears and nose but they have intense sensing skills. Earthworms have no lungs but can breathe through skin.
