Technology wood

I have chosen to make a pencil holder Because I need it to hold all my colouring pencils that can't fit in my pencil case. The reason why I think this is the best choice because it's useful and it's something I need. I need a pencil holder so that it can hold all my pencils and it also could be useful for my older siblings. They could use it or borrow when ever they want. This pencil holders will be used to hold my felt pens and colouring pencils. I'm going to put my new pencil holder on my desktop at home so that when I need to use a colouring pencil I can grab it from my pencil holder. I'm going to put my pencils in the holes  at the top and the wood is going to hold the colouring pencils up so that they don't fall down. For my wood project I have to use wood, Backsaw, Mallet, wood chesil, steel rule, bench hook and a tre-square. First of all I need three blocks of wood Then I measure with the steel rule two straight lines after I'm done measuring I make a straight line so that I know where to cut. I use the back saw and cut between the lines. After i'm done I use the wood chisel and the Mallet to make a joint by using the mallet to hit the top of the wood chisel and the bottom of the chesil will go through the two lines of the wood.

I did a word quiz about a book called Holes. Holes is a really interesting book about a boy who was poor then became rich. I think everybody should read this book.

DLO Mystery solving

Today we were doing collaborative Mystery solving. We were in groups so we can do each suspect and the story was called the MAP OF TRAITOR.

Knitting

Today we had to do a practice sheet to make sure we get better 

at knitting we even might knit a pillow who knows I actually like to knit.   

Maths DLO

 Today I did a maths DLO with my friends we were in a group and we had to solve maths problems and make a DLO about it. Tatai did the extension, rachel did the challenge and I did the super challenge. 

Tables test

  Today I did a maths task and it was about time tables. I think that this is good for anyone it really does help you to improve in your maths and it even helps with your time tables.

Maths trainer

 I did a task on maths and it's called Maths trainer it's very easy and I really do think that it might be able to help younger students. I think that this task was very easy.

 Here's a look at what I did for my maths task. I got lot right and I achieved I wanted to do this so that I can put this on my maths tasks. This task is could tables test It teaches me my tables an I already know my time tables. 

Free rice

 Today My teacher found an app named free rice. Free rice is good for
understanding words that you don't know and learning about vocabulary.
Free rice is an app you can find online it can also help you how to spell
 new words you don't know. There will be a word that pops up on your
screen and below that word you would have to find that meaning of
that word that is above the for words. If you get it correct
your bowl will fill up with rice. After it is filled the
bowl will be empty again and then you would have
to do it all over again with different words.

Hit the button

 Today I had to do hit the button on maths.
This is an activity that I do on maths. I would 
have to learn new things I like hit the button because you need to hit the correct number to get the right answer. Also it's timed so you would have to be even faster.  

knitting wool

Today is tech and me and my group where knitting paper for practice not much of use had time to knit. There are 4 of use and it’s hard to knit so only 2 of use got to finish the knitting so there was only 2 more that needed to finish their knitting. I wish i could had finished my knite but i had to be last sooo I had to take a photo of the person that finished there paper. I only took a photo of phoenix's paper cause she finished it.

Textile 2019

Today me and my class learned the
meaning of textile. We learned that textile
is fabric so fabric can be made out of many
different things,with four main sources: animal
(wool,silk), plant (cotton,flat,jute) , mineral 
(asbestos,glass fibre), and synthetic (nylon, 
century, they were supplemented by artificial fibres 
made from petroleum.   

DLO Math

WALT:solve word problems using the best strategy we know.

Today me and my friend were doing DLO
and learned to solve problems by using the
 best strategy we know. We both had to solve
the problem and explain how we solved the
problem.

So first I did was find Sarah by adding the 10 and 15 x 5
and it gave me 35. Then for George  I doubled The 2 makes
me 4 and then I doubled the 4  and I gave me eight and then
I kept on going and the last number was 64 For Michelle,
I started with 15 and added 2 x 5 and it gave you 25.Then
I did the same to the others and they were all less than
George’s. So George has the most out all of them in
about six weeks.

Today I learned about solving word
problems by using the best strategies.Me and my friend had to help each other so my friend shared her work to me and we both had to explain how we got the answer.
So I did the Extensions and I had to explain how
 I got the answer.So I explained.

Why Did B&M want a treaty

me and my friends learned about the treaty of waitangi we learned
 about interesting facts about waitangi facts and did you know
that france tried to take over New Zealand and tried to start a war.
Before they started the war the british went to see the king and asked
him fro help them from the france people.
